Gamekeys4u.net - How to play Ridge Racer Unbounded without VPN

1. Activaton with VPN (Russian Keys)

2. Please Note for Downloading the Game:

In order to download the game, you will need to download it 1 time with a Russian IP. 
(Same procedure as step 1)
As soon as the download starts you should Exit Steam & Cancel the VPN Connection.

After that you start Steam again (normally) . You now see that in Steam at the bottom is 1 active download and the download is continuing and finishing with your normal IP.

3. In order to play/start the Game without Russian IP, please follow these Instructions:

1.      Start Steam.

2.      Right-click on Ridge Racer

3.      Create a shortcut on your Desktop

4.      Go to your Desktop make a right click on your created shortcut, and note the number which is displayed at the end of the link (e.g. 202310)

5.      Create inside the installation path (...SteamSteamAppscommonridge racer unbounded) the file: steam_appid.txt

6.      Just write the noted number inside your steam_appid.txt

7.      After that, you must set your File to write-protected.

8.      Now you enter Steam again and go to “add a non-steam game to my library”.

9.      Now browse and choose from your Ridge Racer installation path the “RRU.exe”.

10.   Now in your Steam Library  shows up “RRU”, just double click on it , and Ridge Racer starts without VPN.

11. The shortcut you created in the beginning on desktop, you can delete that now if you want.
