How to download and play region blocked steam games

Written Instruction

1. Please Note for Activation: VPN Activaton (Russian Keys)

2. Please Note for Downloading the Game:

In order to download the game, you will need to download it 1 time with a Russian IP. (Same procedure as step 1) As soon as the actual download starts you should Exit Steam. After that you Cancel the VPN Connection.

After that you start Steam again (normally) . You now see that in Steam at the bottom of the window that there is "1 Item Downloading" and the download is continuing and finishing with your normal IP.

3. In order to play/start the Game without VPN, please follow these Instructions:

After you downloaded the Game, you must start the game the first time with VPN. Only 1 time. After that you follow this instruction, so you dont need to do it again.
 

1. Start Steam.

2. Go to your Games Library and Right-click on your Game.

3. Create a shortcut on your Desktop

4. Go to your Desktop make a right click on your created shortcut, and note the number which is displayed at the end of the link 
(e.g. 202310)

5. You go into your game folder:

....Steam/SteamApps/common/your game/  

In that folder you create a textfile with the name: steam_appid.txt (Be aware that you dont have ".txt" twice)

6. Just paste the noted number inside your steam_appid.txt and save it.

7. Copy the texfile and paste it ALSO inside the folder where the game application .exe is hiding. (/bin, /system etc.)

8. Now you enter Steam again and go to “add a non-steam game to my    library”.

9. Now browse and choose from your game installation path 
(inside the folder "system") the “.exe” file.

10. Now in your Steam Library  shows up “your game”, just double click on it, and "your game" starts without VPN.

11. The Short-cut you created in the beginning on your desktop, can be deleted if you want.
